Captain Cluck, the white cartoon chicken from Farting Chicken

The story

Cluckworth Farm is under siege. Sly foxes in the barnyard, wolves in the woods, and the Hawk King circling overhead. Then one ordinary chicken got into the farmer's magic beans, came away with SUPER GAS, and put on a cape.

You play as Captain Cluck. Run the farm road, eat everything you can to charge the meter, and let one rip at the right moment to blow a predator clean off the path. Fill the meter completely and you go Super Chicken: invincible, and briefly unstoppable.

Eleven regions stand between the barnyard and the sea, and something is waiting at the end of each one.

Eleven regions to liberate

A winding map runs from the Barnyard out to Cluckworth Cove. Each region has its own look, its own weather and its own infestation to clear before you can move on.

  • Barnyard
  • Henhouse Hills
  • Rickety Barn
  • Deep Woods
  • Sky Ranch
  • Moonlit Meadow
  • Raccoon Hollow
  • Coyote Canyon
  • Snakeweed Gulch
  • Grizzly Ridge
  • Cluckworth Cove

Eleven bosses to gas

The Sly Fox. The Weasel. The Barn Rat King. The Big Bad Wolf. The Hawk King. Right through to the Land Shark that walks out of the sea on legs. Every boss attacks differently, and they get meaningfully tougher the further you get.

Capes and toots to collect

Corn piles up while you run, and the Shop turns it into 26 capes and 19 fart styles. Cow Print, Farm Plaid, Fireball, Cosmic Toot, and eventually the Rainbow Toot if you put in the miles.

Three difficulties

Easy is forgiving enough for a six-year-old. Normal is the real adventure. Hero stretches the levels out and makes the bosses genuinely mean. There's also Barnyard Blitz, an endless mode with its own high scores.

No catches

No ads interrupting a run. No shop that wants your card. No account to make. Plays fine with no signal.

Common questions

Does it have ads?

No. There's no advertising anywhere in the game.

Are there in-app purchases?

No. Capes and fart styles are unlocked by playing and earning corn. There's nothing to buy inside the app, so nobody can spend money by accident.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The whole game plays offline. If you're signed in to iCloud your progress syncs across your devices when you next have a connection, but nothing waits on it.

Do you collect any data?

No. No accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics, no tracking. Progress is saved on your device. iCloud sync is optional: turn it on and progress follows you to your iPad through your own iCloud account, turn it off and saves stay put. Either way it never reaches us. The privacy policy spells it out.

What age is it for?

Anyone who thinks a farting chicken is funny. Easy mode works for younger kids, Normal is the standard game, and Hero mode will give most adults some trouble.

Do I lose my progress if I get a new phone?

Not if you're signed in to iCloud. Progress syncs through your own iCloud account, so a new iPhone picks up where the old one left off. iCloud sync is optional though, and with it off, saves stay on that one device only.

Is it on Android?

Not yet. It's an iPhone and iPad game for now. If enough people ask, Android becomes worth doing.
